The mission of the Dominican Literacy Center is to help women learn to read, write and speak English within an atmosphere of mutual respect and dignity. Through the generosity of trained volunteer tutors, immigrant women learn to communicate in English and to be a formative influence on their families and a strong participant in their neighborhoods, churches, workplaces and communities.

Any woman, age 18+, who would like to learn to read, write and speak English may call the Center at 630-898-4636 and put her name on the waiting list. We will call you to make an appointment for registration and testing. We welcome all women who come to the Center. There is no cost for the classes; the book fee is $25.00

New Tutor Training will be held January 17, 2015 from 9AM to 3PM. Lunch will be served. To register, please email Alison Brzezinski at alison@dominicanliteracycenter.org
or call 630-898-4636 for more information.
